These fabulous vintage black cranes were made in Japan in the 1950's
In Japanese lore, the crane—a type of large, migratory bird—was thought to live for 1,000 years, and the animals are held in the highest regard. They symbolise peace and they are given to those who need healing.
This is a very poignant hat trim from post war Japan. A Japan that had suffered war and ultimately the devastation of atomic bombs.
To be treasured. Please only to good homes!
These feather cranes are depicted in flight and are fully wired. Each crane is ~4" in length
